We finally closed escrow on Friday, Aug. 7th. YAY! We were ecstatic to finally get to move in. Ever since then we have been doing little things around the house: painting, cleaning, having things repaired etc. We are almost finished with the repairs. There is just a little bit of roof work left and that's it! As for the painting...well we are about 1/2 way done. All the upstairs bedrooms are done and we are tackling the upstairs hallway & stairs this weekend! We need some sort of stair ladder in order to do that though - because there is one area (about 3'x4') that we just can't reach! Anyway - here are some "Before" pictures of the house. And some pictures of the painted rooms.

This is our bedroom: Seriously - we lived like this for about a week - until the painting was done and the new carpet got installed.

This room we painted grey all over. This will most-likely be a nursery at some point. We figured grey will be a good base color and we'll use accents of either blue or pink, depending...of course that's not for awhile. =)
This room will be a roommate's room for a little while. A friend of Jen's from work is moving in with us "month-to-month" until she decides to get her own place (probably about 1 year). She is relocating from Seattle - so living with us helps her save some money & helps us pay for things around the house!
