Water Cannons

SO much fun this weekend at the start of "boys week".  Jen is gone for a week on a work trip,  and I bought the boys new water cannons to help us deal with the 100-degree temperature all weekend.  Saturday we had a water fight in the front yard (the boys easily won that battle), and Sunday morning we went to 53rd Street Park and used the water cannons at the splash pad.  They had the best time, and it was like pulling teeth to get the boys to leave :)

Only one bad experience from the severe heat.  Our front porch just bakes in the sun, and Tyler went up there barefoot to grab something and burned his feet.  It was agonizing to hear him scream and I could tell that every step hurt more than the last, but I got to him quickly.  We raced into the house and got some cool water on his feet immediately.  About an hour later he was good as new and running around the house like normal.  Tough little dude!
