Our little man got his first experience with solid food today... and it was a real adventure! He's been watching us eat very intently for the past 2 months, so he was clearly ready to join the party.
Jen is making all his baby food herself, and we decided to start him off with avocado because it's a fairly bland flavor. When the first spoonful was brought up to his mouth he didn't hesitate at all... he went straight for it! Of course he ended up with 3/4 of the food on his face and hands, but he definitely enjoyed the meal. He made some great facial expressions (happy, puzzled, disgusted) while he ate, and of course the best part was seeing his bright green avocado-covered face at the end.
He's definitely loving the new flavors in his life, so we'll start to introduce foods each week. Next up - squash! More hilarious pictures to follow, I'm sure.
