We went to the Portland Rose Garden this weekend too. It's really beautiful with views of the buildings in downtown Portland and the mountain peak of Mt. Hood in the distance.
It was a little hazy so you can't see the mountain in the photo...but it was there. Also in the same park as the Rose Garden is the Portland Zoo, Children's Museum and a Japanese Meditation Garden.
